  Joanna Quinn Les Mills

To fully appreciate the extent of the esteem in which Joanna and her work is held worldwide, one must travel with her to one of the many Film Festivals which she attends all over the world. She really is regarded as one of the most celebrated and leading figures in World Animation.

Her amazing drawing skills, her wonderful characterizations, her humour, and her determination to produce films of real significance, mark her out as a truly unique, female voice.

With the exception of the Academy Oscar which has so far eluded her but for which she has received two nominations, she has won just about every major animation award that there is including Emmys, Baftas, major Jury prizes at all the major animation Festivals - it is a very long list indeed. She's been honoured with retrospectives of her work in Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Stuttgart, Zagreb, and Hiroshima, to name a few.

She is an Honoury Fellow at two British Universities and she lectures at the most prestigious Universities and Film Schools in Britain and abroad including the Royal College of Art and the National Film and Television School.

Her films are produced through her company Beryl Productions and her commercial work for Whiskas Cat food, United Airlines and the current Charmin toilet paper campaign in North America for Proctor and Gamble has made her work instantly recognisable and accesible to many millions. There is a universal appeal to Joanna's work and her films continue to delight audiences all over the world, most especially the three films in the Beryl series and her masterpiece "Britannia".
